I am not an SMM expert, but I have tips which you might find useful as you go along your virtual assistance journey.

If you’ve been studying different social media management strategies, yet fail to deliver results, it might just be because you’re doing something wrong.
Always remember that the reason behind the success of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the likes is that people find them helpful in connecting with other people.
So how can you, as the social media manager, help your clients connect with their target audience?
Put yourself in your client’s shoes.
Be his brand.
Then ask yourself, if I am my client’s brand, how will I connect with my audience? What will click and what will not? What and when should I post?
Viral videos and images are great. But who’s to say if your video or image can go viral? No one but the netizens themselves. But here’s a tip I learned from attending Digital Halo Halo and E-Commerce. Videos and images that go viral are the ones that deal with human emotions. Let me give you some video examples:
Who can resist the beat of the PAP? My grandchildren automatically nod their heads and sway their bodies to it. It’s one of the most revised, reenacted or whatever you call it videos.
Now this one, with famous singer Adele is simply a-w-e-s-o-m-e. Seeing her in her casual, natural self, sharing some of her personal experiences and singing her classics, just feels so good. And this multi-awarded songstress rapping Nicki Minaj’s Monster? Priceless.
Images also do great in social media. Should you share images that have gone viral? Definitely – but only those related to your niche. Otherwise, stay away.

- What your target audience thinks
- When they’re most likely to be online.
